Check what is impacting your credit score. Some of these insights have actions and tips on how to improve. Other insights tell you what you're doing well.
Manage your debt responsibly
Pay on time and in full, and stay within your means. As lenders will see you’re able to manage your finances sensibly and you show you aren’t relying on credit alone.
Build your credit history, if you don’t have one
The simplest way to build your credit history is to open a bank account. Also applying for an overdraft, as maintaining it responsibly shows good financial behaviour, even if unused. Manage these accounts responsibly to build your credit score over time.
Keep your information up to date
If there's something that doesn't look right or is missing from your report, you can get this fixed. Try getting in touch with the bank, court or authority (if you haven't done this already). If they can’t help, you can raise a dispute.
