2FA is a verification method that requires more than one credential to be entered to verify a user’s identity.
How does 2FA work?
Whenever you login to your account, a message with a verification code is sent to your trusted device (e.g. mobile phone), you then enter the code to access your account.
Why do we use 2FA?
It makes it difficult for someone else to login into your account, as it adds another layer of security and lowers the risk of an account takeover.
Do I have to use 2FA?
Two-Factor-Authentication (2FA) isn't compulsory, but we highly recommend it to protect your financial data.
